Coaching Guide

Great leaders are relentlessly curious about how they lead. These tools give you a clear, data-driven view of your strengths, blind spots, and next steps—so you can keep elevating your impact.

In about 30 minutes total, you’ll complete two short, research-backed tools:

1
DISC Motivators Assessment ~10 minutes · what energizes and motivates you
  • This third-party survey, offered at no cost to you, normally retails at $400 per person. We have used it for over 30 years with 5,000+ leaders and team members.
  • There are no “right” or “wrong” answers—only honest ones. The only real risk is overthinking, which can create inconsistency. Aim to complete it in one sitting, in under 10 minutes.
  • Why motivators? Nearly every meaningful leadership decision is driven by what you truly value. Our job as talent developers is to help fulfill those ambitions, so we start with what genuinely energizes you.
  • Your TTI report will be emailed to you immediately after you finish. When prompted, choose the “Hale Global” version at the bottom unless you work for Quantum, Patch, or QL2.
2
Hale Global Leadership Survey ~20 minutes · leadership and management playbook
  • This survey is designed for leaders leading leaders. If you are earlier in your career, please see the instructions here.
  • Your responses generate a growth-focused coaching guide on how to be a great leader and manager. It is based on the answers of leaders who have 10x’d the enterprise value of public companies, contrasted with leaders who have lost substantially all market value. Many leaders in the survey have experienced both success and failure, yielding unusually candid and practical insights.
  • The survey is a passion project started under Clay Christensen at Harvard Business School. It is non-commercial. Your results will be anonymized except to you. You may be asked to register on haleglobal.com to access the link. Anyone who takes the survey can book an hour at www.calendly.com/hale to review the results.
  • Three quick notes: (i) Approximately 40% of the questions serve as “unreliable test questions” — there is no need to answer carefully unless you have 10x’d value and/or 1/10th’d value, in which case please reflect on your answers carefully. (ii) Development areas are usually related to our greatest strengths. (iii) Great standards are universally applicable. Have fun!
“These resources sparked the most wonderful growth journey—for me as a business leader and as an individual. Working with Hale Global on these has been the experience of a lifetime.”
